These surplus 5.56x45mm cartridges are manufactured in accordance with M855 specifications and therefore bear the NATO cross as well as CIP stamp of approval for safety. As such, these Lithuanian-made rounds are assembled using annealed brass casings which have been heat treated to prevent splitting while providing proper chamber seal. Each case is equipped with a non-corrosive Boxer primer, protective moisture sealant, and a 62 grain, "green tip," full metal jacket (FMJ) projectile.The well recognized SS109 projectile is highly supported by military ballistic data and zeroing methods which have undergone decades of refinement. At the center of the bullet is a ribbed cannelure which reduces the occurrence of setback and dislodging which could spoil accuracy. These particular 5.56mm NATO rounds feature a mild penetrating tip which is still standard among armed forces around the world.
