I have found that this ammo does NOT expand very consistently. In water, it expands some, but not very consistently. Shooting into phonebooks, the hollow point filled with paper and penetrated about the same as my FMJ's. I no longer use these for home defense.

Due to reliability and local availability, this is one of the rounds I'll carry in my G23. I have confidence in this round, it shoots fine for me.

Good ammo for the money! Recoil less than most .40 JHP, with a low muzzle flash. Consistent expansion into water with 2 or 4 layers of denim (4.5" barrel). Expanded rounds averaged .66". Some of the jacket peeled off and the expanded round was not as pretty as some other brands, but they work.
