This cartridge’s jacketed hollow point is the eXtreme Terminal Performance, by Hornady of Nebraska. It is a brand of bullet that is often favored for its accuracy, as it is tightly standardized, armored in one of Hornady’s famously concentric jackets, and filled with a uniform swaged lead core.

But accuracy is only half the battle when you’re contending with a threat (or a yote). That’s why the XTP combines a symmetrically serrated nose rim and progressively tapered drawn gilding metal jacket. Both help the 85 grain JHP open up wide and quickly, even when it only has the 32 Mag’s subsonic striking power behind it.
