This Idaho-made cartridge sports a 115 grain full metal jacket bullet. At that weight it’s all set to clear a 4” barrel at a velocity of 1,150 fps, which means you can expect similar recoil and ballistic performance to a comparable self-defense load. Blazer’s nonmagnetic FMJ won’t do anything in the way of terminal expansion if it hits a threat, but its flat nose profile would probably create more wound damage than the round nosed alternative. You’ll probably only appreciate how the 30 Super Carry bullet’s flat nose helps it to carve a neat hole through paper and cardboard.
