50rds – 22 LR Aguila Super Extra 40gr. LRN Ammo Details

Aguila bills their Super Extra 22 LR cartridge as “a tin can’s worst enemy.” With its accurate 40 grain lead round nose projectile that bursts out of the muzzle at just over the speed of sound, this round is equally unfriendly to any robber of trash cans or birdfeeders as well. What this round won’t treat with animosity, however, is your wallet -- all of that Aguila Prime technology, which makes this round as suitable for the Olympian as it does the backyard hero, can be had for what we’re certain you’ll agree is a song.

We know the Spanish words that matter most: food, swear words, and “Aguila,” which means eagle. The Mexican manufacturer started out in collaboration with Remington back in 1961, and now as Latin America’s premier ammo manufacturer they’re the primary supplier to Mexico’s armed forces. They’re one of the biggest rimfire producers in the world as well, a niche they’ve earned rather rightly if we may say so ourselves. Their stuff shoots great!

This is a great ammunition, very accurate and subsonic depending on your distance above sea level. 1085 fps is approximately sonic barrier- so if an ammo runs even a little below that especially from a handgun it will function nicely as supressed ammunition. Aguila has a very long history of making ammo and their .22 lr is ely primed meaning it will run every time all the time. I get inch or less groups during appleseed shoots consistently regardless conditions. I reallly like using it in my rifles and handguns and found it cycles everything so far quite nicely.
