50rds – 22 LR CCI Uppercut 32gr. JHP Ammo Details

Maybe you already know MCMAP, Systema, Krav Maga, or one of the other art forms that involve punching guys in the face super hard. Good for you if that’s true. But it doesn’t matter how tight you can ball up a fist, or how quick you can snap your hips. You’ll never hit harder than a 22 LR.

And so you carry a 22 LR pistol for defense. And so you should carry CCI Uppercut ammo as well, which is exclusively designed for defense with a semi-automatic pistol that has a barrel length of 2.5 to 4”.

This round’s bullet weighs 32 grains. That’s a featherweight for the 22 LR, and it therefore hits an extremely high muzzle velocity of 950 fps (relative to the short 4” test barrel CCI used to record that figure).

The bullet’s 60+ ft lbs close range striking energy is admittedly tepid when compared to larger pistol rounds. The bullet does all it can to apply its limited energy as effectively as possible, though. In addition to a tough copper jacket that helps it penetrate flesh, the JHP has a skived nose cavity which produces true six-pointed-star terminal expansion. Aim it right, and it’s one shot and good night.
