There are a lot of times when you need a quality varmint round. Maybe you like the current number of joints in your horse’s legs already, and don’t want a misplaced hoof in a woodchuck hole to add a superfluous one. Maybe you just like hunting varmints. Whatever use you might have for it, this 17 HMR round from Hornady’s Varmint Express line of ammunition is going to give you exactly what you need to make the world a little less populated by troublesome beasts.

This cartridge features Hornady’s V-MAX projectile. Its polymer tip sits over and projects down into a precisely formed hollow in its swaged lead core. Upon impact the tip will strike the core’s interior to cause total fragmentation of the bullet -- and certain death of the varmint it’s inside of. The V-MAX is exceptionally accurate thanks to its symmetrical polymer meplat and ballistically efficient profile, and this round’s standardized primer and propellant charge deliver a predictable result with every shot. "Varmint Express" is not a misnomer!

Hit a coyote @ 100 yards between the eyes and I saw his skull cap fly about 30 feet in the air. When I got there the cavity was empty. Amazing round.

Shot a hog in a trap at 30 yards between they eyes. Dropped him like a bag of rocks. This round rocks.

This ammo is the best for the 17 hmr in my opinion
Great for small game all the way up to coyotes.
It is very accurate, vmax for me

I HAVE TRIED OTHER BRANDS, BUT THE HORNADY'S HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE BEST.
