Russia’s love affair with steel cased ammunition is attributable to two primary factors. First, the country is absolutely lousy with iron ore deposits, and accordingly they’re the world’s fifth leading steel producer. (The US beats them.) Second, their government is rather invested in keeping track of just how much ammunition their population has access to, as they’re not particularly keen on the idea of something like another revolution ever occurring again.This Russian-made 45 ACP cartridge from Wolf’s Military Classic line of ammunition has a steel casing. It’s extremely cost-effective without sacrificing any noticeable amount of performance, and as a bonus sports a polymer coating which facilitates feeding and ejection in semi-automatic weapons while at the same time granting resistance against corrosion. The casing’s Berdan primer is also non-corrosive, so these 500 rounds will be content to sit in your closet until your next range session or until they’re very dearly needed.
This round sports a standard 230 grain projectile. The bullet’s full metal jacket means it will easily penetrate unconventional plinking targets, feed reliably in semi-automatic weapons, and preserve your pistol’s bore from excessive lead fouling during a long day at the range. While its brand may be called Wolf, we advise against using this round against wolves unless they are impersonating your grandmother.
