This package contains 500 rounds of Federal LE Tactical .40 Smith & Wesson ammunition. Each round is loaded with a 165 grain expanding full metal jacket (EFMJ) projectile. These unique projectiles are engineered with a scored metal nose that fully encases a soft internal rubber tip. The rubber tip is designed to collapse upon target impact to initiate reliable and devastating expansion. The full metal jacket enhances penetration by preventing plugging of the bullet with barrier material. The result is highly consistent expansion with a reduced risk of collateral damage.
These new production rounds are manufactured with Federal Premium’s clean-burning, low-flash powders m making them perfect for low-light tactical situations. These rounds are non-corrosive, boxer primed, and leave the muzzle at a velocity of 1080 feet per second with 427 foot pounds of threat-stopping energy.
