500rds – 223 Rem Hornady TAP Training 55gr. FMJ Ammo

Hornady Ammunition 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

You miss out on a lot when you’re not a cop. You don’t get to tell bad guys that they’re going to jail. You don’t get to sell tickets to the policeman’s ball. And don’t get to eat takeout in your car at three in the morning.

But you don’t need to be a cop to enjoy firing Hornady TAP Training 223 Rem ammunition. This AR-15 ammo is ballistically matched to the same 223 rounds Hornady produces for tactical applications, but its non-expanding full metal jacket bullets suit it best for target shooting at the range.

223 aficionados will recognise the 55 grain FMJ and 3,240 fps muzzle velocity (which Hornady recorded with a 24” test barrel) as the trademark specs of the U.S. Armed Forces’ M193 cartridge. As such its recoil, accuracy and point of aim are all pretty much on par with the same performance AR enthusiasts already know and love.

Hornady’s ammo is loaded with expertly cut, drawn and tapered brass cases. Their uniform dimensions make them both smooth-cycling and fine components for handloading.
