Sellier & Bellot Ammunition 38 Grain Hollow Point Ammo Details

This brick of high velocity .22 Long Rifle rounds is perfect for an afternoon of plinking or an early morning squirrel hunt! Sellier & Bellot (S&B), a Czech company, manufactures these rounds using finely rolled brass and dependable, non-corrosive primer mixtures. This load uses a 38 grain, bare lead projectile with a small hollow cavity which is intended to initiate expansion upon impact with a target; this transfers more energy into small game for a quicker drop and reduced chance of a pass-through shot.

The hollow-point design also puts more weight into the back of the bullet which adds stability for accurate target shooting. This style of construction is often sought after due to the enlarged bourrelet which engages rifling with increased surface area for more consistent spin and long range precision. S&B has roots which can be traced back to 1825 and is now owned by the Brazilian CBC group. Their experience gained via wartime production alongside international sales allows them to tailor ammunition for various needs and purposes.
