44 Mag - 240 Grain JHP - Corbon Hunter - 20 Rounds

44 Mag - 240 Grain JHP - Corbon Hunter - 20 Rounds Details

Corbon founder Peter Pi began designing specialized handgun hunting ammo back in the early ‘80s. Now Corbon’s Hunter line of ammunition stands for reliable performance no matter the game you’re going after. Whether you hunt with a revolver or lever gun, this 44 Magnum ammo has your next expedition covered!

This round is loaded to a smoking muzzle velocity of 1,475 fps, which is enough to plow over 1,000 ft lbs of energy into a quarry at close range. The bullet has a flat nose profile for compatibility with lever-action firearms, although its concentric jacket and uniformly distributed lead core both lend themselves to greater accuracy over longer distances.

The bullet itself is a jacketed hollow point, the same type most often used for self-defense. It’s going to begin expanding almost as soon as it meets resistance from soft tissue, and can increase in size up to double its original diameter. While marketed for hunting, there is no reason this ammo wouldn’t serve you well if you take an Inspector Callahan approach to personal protection.

Corbon’s brass cases become fine handloading components once their non-corrosive primers have ignited, their uniform propellant charges have burned up, and their fine bullets have rocketed away.
