400rds – 223 Rem Winchester USA 45gr. JHP Ammo Details

Lions. Tigers. Bears. If you’re expecting us to say “oh my” at this point, you are mistaken. We’re just going to say that any goober with a gun can hunt these harmless creatures. They’re really no big deal. Now varmints – well, they’re a different story. It takes a strong heart and nerves of steel to square off against savage and remorseless beasts like raccoon and black-tailed prairie dog.

It also takes some good American-made 223 Rem ammunition. Winchester loads these accurate and deadly cartridges with 45 grain jacketed hollow points. They are lighter bullets, and accordingly achieve a heightened muzzle velocity of 3,600 fps. What does that mean? A flat trajectory, partner: one that only has to rise by 1.92” before clobbering a varmint standing at 200 yards.

Although it is lighter than average, the JHP bullet also overcomes air resistance effectively enough to retain over 600 ft lbs of kinetic energy at 200 yards. Matters are only made worse for the varmint by the JHP’s ability to begin expanding and shedding small pieces of shrapnel as soon as it punctures thin hide. The varmint will regret not killing you first, but it should have known better than to square off against nature’s ultimate small game hunting machine: you.
These rounds feature polished brass cases, snappy and noncorrosive Boxer primers, and clean-burning powder. You can reload this ammo. You’ll also get the best accuracy if you run it through a barrel with a 1:14" or 1:16" rate of twist, but you’ll be alright if your barrel’s twist is faster. One case of 400 rounds is divided up among 10 boxes.

My mini 14 LOVES these rounds, from hogs to deer, the JHPs and only 45gr makes fast clean kills (and we are talking one shot and out to 300 yards). You can't beat the price or the massive exit hole these little boys make, and 3/4 inch moa at 200 yards, the gun just love them. And I have shot about 10 different brands and I'll stay with White box 45gr. Winchesters JHPs, thanks Trey
