These rifled slugs are a great option for hunting with your 12 gauge shotgun's smoothbore barrel or for giving the side-saddle on your home defense or patrol shotgun another an option to switch to for long range shots. Remington loads each shell with a one-ounce lead slug which is made up of bare lead and has a slight cavity in its nose. This allows the slug to expand after it impacts a target and to come to a halt while within, fully depositing its massive energy.



The slug's rifling lends it spin stability out of smooth barrels while an aligning disc at the rear of the slug keeps it flatly balanced while efficiently trapping propellant gases; both features contribute to greater accuracy and long-range capability. The 2-3/4 inch hull of each shell is colored blue for easy identification while its length is compatible for use in most 12 gauge shotguns. A high-brass head allows for a strong powder charge which is ignited by a non-caustic 209 primer.
