Why Shooters and Hunters love or hate 20rds - 9mm Corbon Thunder Ranch DPX 115gr. +P HP Ammo

Good ammo. Accurate & Reliable. I have a bunch of the normal DPX in the blue box, sold under the Corbon name directly. This is the same thing except the insert inside the box is made from cardboard. The difference is, at least at fiedl glance is the cardboard or way these are packaged tarnishes the copper bullet tips and makes them look old. The ones sold under the Corbon name come with a plastic or foam insert for the bullets to rest in. They look sparkling clean as a result. I don't feel that the ammo's performance would be compromised by the discoloration, but it's an observation about the way the Thunder Ranch version is packaged.

GREAT ammo!!!!! Very expensive, but when it comes to self-defense, and my family's lives are at stake I will pay for the piece of mind this ammo instills.
I only needed to fire about ten of these from my Ruger P95, into ballistics media to see how deep they penetrate and how large they expand. Shot throught two layers of Denim and still great expansion and penetration, usually I try about 100-500 rounds out before I will rely on them for S.D. loads, but this ammo just makes me feel warm and fuzy.
I usually use Speer Gold Dot 124 Gr. JHP, Federal 124 gr JHP hydrashock L.E., Winchester supreme super X 147 Gr. Silver tip JHP (for those pesky ware wolves and Vampires that may show up any day!) and winchester supreme super X 147 Gr. JHP.
These are my new favorite right behind the speer gold dots.
Wish the price was better, but I guess you get what you pay for.
