Barnes Bullets 115 Grain Solid Copper Hollow Point (SCHP) Ammo Details

This isn’t your run-of-the-mill 9mm self-defense ammunition. That’s because Barnes’ VOR-TX ammo showcases the superior accuracy and ruinous terminal ballistics of the lead-free XPB projectile!

The solid copper XPB doesn’t just benefit performance by keeping lead fouling out of a barrel’s rifling. The sleek monolithic projectile also boasts exceptional balance, as it hasn’t got a jacket that could possess a flaw nor a lead core that could possess a void.

The XPB reliably penetrates deeply, even if it has to pass through a barrier as tough as sheet metal. Copper is a resilient metal, so the XPB hangs on to virtually all of its weight and momentum throughout penetration. When its nose cavity fills with soft tissue, the XPB quickly protrudes curling, knife-like petals. These do precisely what you would imagine to soft tissue, which doesn’t bode remotely well for the threat in question.

Barnes is an authority on copper bullets, whose TSX and TTSX projectiles are popular even in places that haven’t illegalized lead bullets for hunting. Their XPB is just as high quality, and even more effective thanks to Barnes’ consistent brass cases, Boxer primers and propellant.
