This stuff runs perfectly in my SKS and AK47. It will get the job done in the vast majority of situations, except for long range applications.

Just an update this ammo will shoot less than 1 inch in my mini 30 at 50 yards using the factory iron sights.

Excellent ammo. Highly consistent and reliable. Accuracy could not be tested due to weather but I did get fairly zeroed in at 50yds. My Mini 30 functioned flawlessly the factory mag failed no matter the ammo it was loaded with but my 10 round ProMag worked flawlessly. My rough group at 50yds. was 1.75" after sight in. Final target was destroyed so I never got to measure the last 5 shot group.

Well for most of us, we know that there are both lacquered and polymer sealed rounds; I can see HOW you made the mistake I suppose, but if you do a google search for "polymer soft point" you'll come up with NO polymer or plastic tipped ammunition. You didn't get plastic tipped ammunition--which I've never seen for 7.62x39 at ammo stores online--but, on the bright side, you did get some great soft point ammo that has better terminal ballistics and is cleaner than any of the cheap stuff out there.

You could eat the shipping and use the store credit, but it's hard to blame them--after all, they just sent what you ordered. I agree the language could be more specific in places for complete newbies, but you'd have to take that up with the Russians. Perhaps ATG left your review up to help stop other plastic bullet seekers from accidentally ordering this (though I suspect they may have left it up knowing that some of us would get a good chuckle). -

What a doofus I turned out to be. In English, 'Polymer Soft Point' means a soft point made of polymer. That's what I want, a plastic tipped bullet. So I ordered a bunch of them.

I opened the case on the range and found soft lead points with polymer coated cases. Oops. Being there, I had to fire them in my new Ruger Mini-30 or fire nothing.

It was a disaster. The Ruger seems to be more tightly engineered than the Russian designs and so has sharply machined edges at the chamber. The soft points jammed on those edges, cutting serious divots into the soft lead. No round misfired and some were quite accurate. But there were many jams and bent bullets flew everywhere.

Don't buy this bullet for a Ruger. And understand clearly that there's no polymer in the soft point.
