No overly engineered piece of bullet technology here. You’re looking at a round with a humble yet tirelessly proven 131 grain soft point – the simplest expanding rifle bullet you can chamber. The SP’s rigid CuZn 10 (i.e. 90% copper, 10% zinc) alloy jacket is tough enough to secure high weight retention and drive deep penetration, but it’s not so rigid as to impair mushrooming. Fire it through a 23-1/2” or longer barrel, and you can safely expect 1,000+ ft lbs striking force out until 360 yards (0.389 G1/0.195 G7 ballistic coefficient).
