20rds – 6.5 Creedmoor Federal American Eagle 120gr. TMJ Ammo

Federal Ammunition 120 Grain Total Metal Jacket (TMJ) Ammo Details

This 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition is made by Federal Premium in the heart of hotdish heaven: Anoka, Minnesota. Federal’s American Eagle ammo is not overly sophisticated, making it a perfect selection for cost-effective target practice when precision and accuracy still matter!

This cartridge’s 120 grain total metal jacket bullet offers comparable ballistics to any FMJ of similar quality. Once the lead-core projectile reaches a muzzle velocity of 2,900 fps, its 0.406 G1 ballistic coefficient keeps its trajectory supersonic until approximately 1,047 yards.

The total metal jacket offers a couple key advantages. First, its jacketed base avoids heat deformation that may have disrupted its aerodynamic profile. Second, that same base prevents the aerosolization of lead, which in turn keeps the inside of your barrel (and your lungs) cleaner.

Federal is one of the biggest names in American ammo manufacturing, and deservedly so. Their consistently high-quality bullets, brass cases, non-corrosive primers and clean-burning powder all come together to make consistently high-quality ammunition!
