Originally engineered as high-speed, barrier-penetrating ammo for nuclear power plant security, Hornady LE TAP Barrier turns cover into concealment. Each cartridge is loaded with a 62 grain soft point bullet specially designed to maintain its structural integrity through tough urban barriers, yet deliver massive terminal performance in soft tissue.
This package contains 20 rounds of factory fresh Hornady LE 5.56 NATO ammunition. Loaded to higher pressure than standard .223 rounds, 5.56 NATO produces higher velocity and increased energy transfer. Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 3090 feet per second, each round produces a muzzle energy of 1289 foot pounds. This non-corrosive ammunition is boxer primed and features low flash propellants and reloadable cases manufactured from a match grade brass composite.

I love this ammo. I use this as my home defense ammunition in case SHTF. I bought 7 boxes of this stuff. It's not easy to get a hold of, so I try and stock up a little. I use the federal American eagle fmj 5.56 NATO 62gr for range practice to keep the same bullet weights. My rifle with 1/7" twist, shoots more accurately with heavier gr. 5.56 loads.
