20rds – 50 AE HSM 300gr. JHP Ammo

HSM Ammunition 300 Grain Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Ammo Details

It began when Bill Campbell began reloading ammo for profit in 1968. It ended with HSM: the pride of Montana, where this powerful .50 caliber ammo was born.

This 50 AE cartridge isn’t technically on Magnum Research’s list of recommended ammunitions for the Desert Eagle. That list’s not exclusive, though, and multiple entries on it are fundamentally identical to HSM’s cartridge.

This round’s JHP is plated as opposed to jacketed. Copper plating prevents lead vaporization on ignition, which is precisely what a Desert Eagle’s gas orifice holes need in order to remain unclogged.

A 300 grain jacketed hollow point will get the job done, regardless of whether the job is human, porcine, ursine, cervine, feline or lupine. The JHP is fully functional: designed to expand and make the most efficient use of its tremendous energy during a defense or hunting scenario.

This ammo’s other components are no less reliable, and include virgin brass cases a handloader can use to make even more good ammo.
