Winchester makes their Ranger ammunition primarily for law enforcement officers. But even if you don’t have sweet flashing lights on the hood of your car, you deserve the very best too!This 5.56x45 cartridge features a 64 grain bonded solid base projectile. It’s a soft point, so it’ll deliver that expanding terminal effect you look for from a self-defense round. Its bonding keeps its jacket and core tethered together during penetration of the target and most barriers shielding it. Even a car windshield doesn’t do much to wear this bonded bullet down. The jacket forms a thick platform at the base of the bullet, strengthening it to promote more harmful expansion.
This round features a premium brass casing, with a sealed mouth and primer. Its propellant burns clean, and without producing a bright muzzle flash that would readjust your eyes out of night vision mode.
