20rds - 45 ACP Corbon Thunder Ranch DPX 185gr. +P HP Ammo

20rds - 45 ACP Corbon Thunder Ranch DPX 185gr. +P HP Ammo Details

Corbon Ammunition is a well-respected name in the ammo industry thanks to their high-energy jacketed hollow points. The company, located in Sturgis, South Dakota, delivers the same level of quality and performance in its DPX line. CorBon has partnered with Thunder Ranch Training Center to produce this excellent personal protection ammunition.

This package contains 20 rounds of Corbon Thunder Ranch DPX .45 ACP (Auto) ammunition. Each cartridge is loaded with a 185 grain Barnes X jacketed hollow point projectile. Barnes X bullets are made of solid, heat treated copper for extra toughness. Because there is no jacket or soft lead core, there is no risk of core/jacket separation. This unique bullet design delivers 100 percent weight retention, even after passing through tough barriers like leather and steel.

Barnes X bullets feature a deep forward cavity that allows the nose of the projectile to peel back upon target impact, forming four surgically sharp petals. When viewed from the front, these petals form a near perfect X, giving the Barnes X its name. These sharp copper petals carve a massive wound channel in soft tissue to deliver reliable threat-stopping performance.

This ammunition is factory fresh, non-corrosive, boxer primed, and features high-quality brass cases. Each +P overpressure round produces a consistent muzzle velocity of 1075 feet per second and 475 foot pounds of muzzle energy.

I have used these for years, an all copper bullet retains all of its weight. Corbon-DPX and Thunder Ranch are reliable penetrateng ammunition that fitst into FBI protocol and do not exceed 18 inches. These are high quality ammunition that put the 9mm back into the FBI wanting to use 9mm again. They manufacturer and ballistic tests show after 2 inches the hydraulic pressure opens these up after 2 inches of penetration. Great in my opinion. I can use police Only ammunition and like Ranger T’s but as an all season shell this if you are only going to buy one box is the one to buy. If you can afford to buy for all seasons then i suggest Ranger T’s for summer and Thunder Ranch for winter, but as for barrier penetration an all copper bullet is the only reliable barrier penetrator that will retain all it’s original weight,
