This 45-70 Govt ammo by Remington is a hefty cartridge designed for hunting large game. Remington loads these cartridges with 405gr. soft point (SP) bullets. This ammo is included in Remington's Core-Lokt line, which means each bullet's jacket has been mechanically joined to the core to reduce the chance of core/jacket separation. This process improves overall weight retention for better penetration of soft tissue. The SP expands slowly while the bullet burrows deep, causing devastating impact and impressive knockdown power.
