20rds – 44 Magnum Buffalo Bore Lower Recoil 240gr. JHP Ammo

20rds – 44 Magnum Buffalo Bore Lower Recoil 240gr. JHP Ammo Details

Buffalo Bore bills this 44 Magnum cartridge as a general purpose load, specifically one for hunting medium-sized game. It’s by all means an effective choice for self-defense, needless to say – just like the handgun it’s made for.

This a “lower recoil” cartridge. Don’t expect any 44 Mag load to deliver an imperceptible amount of kick, but do expect a somewhat more comfortable time firing this round. Its approximately 1,350 fps muzzle velocity out of a 5.5” barrel (or 1,225 fps out of a 4” barrel) still gives its 240 grain bullet plenty of punch in spite of that lower kick. And as a jacketed hollow point, this round’s bullet is designed to reliably penetrate and expand within soft tissue. Precisely what you wish to devastate with such terminal performance at your fingertips is up to you!

Buffalo Bore was founded in 1997 by outdoorsman Tim Sundles, who wanted to make revolver ammo worthy of defense against bears. Today his Idahoan company makes ammo for a variety of applications, and they exclusively use fine brass cases and non-corrosive primers to do so.
