This 380 Auto cartridge’s 85 grain JHP projectile isn’t engineered to defeat urban barriers as tough as sheet metal, although its ability to pierce thick clothing, reliably penetrate to the depth where a threat’s vital organs are stored, and expand to over 0.5” in diameter makes it quite a handy little companion to have at your service.The Punch JHP features multiple notches around its jacket. These create symmetrical fracture lines, enabling the bullet to fan outward even when it hasn’t got very much momentum behind it. The JHP’s soft lead core also promotes more reliable expansion, and its ballistically efficient profile delivers solid accuracy.
Punch ammo is reliable. Blue sealant locks in this round’s primer, so you won’t have to worry as much about rain and humidity spoiling the powder. Nickel-plating shields the brass cases against corrosion, as well as helps them to slide more efficiently in and out of a semi-auto’s chamber.
