Remington’s Golden Saber Defense ammo is loaded with features that are all designed to do one thing: stop the threat. As an overpressure cartridge (which is not to be fired in an old revolver that can’t handle its robust chamber pressure), the 125 grain bullet boasts higher striking power (and higher recoil) than normal 38 Special. The bullet – a brass jacketed hollow point, with a tough and spiral-serrated jacket – reliably transforms all of its potential into effectively deep penetration and wide terminal expansion.

These rounds’ cases are nickel plated, which poses dual benefits: reduced friction during feeding into and extraction from the cylinder, and added resistance to corrosion from humidity and/or tanning chemicals (such as those found in leather holsters). Better yet, these rounds are loaded with low-flash propellant, which will prove its worth should you ever have to fire on a threat when it’s dark outside.
