Slow down there, pardner! This is 357 SIG ammunition. If you’ve only got a 357 Magnum firearm, then 357 SIG is completely useless to you.

This is the good 357 SIG self-defense ammo, right here: Federal Personal Defense HST, which aside from its packaging is the same stuff you’d find in police handguns. “HST” is just a brand name and doesn’t mean anything significant, but those letters do spell big trouble for any threat to your personal safety.

This cartridge’s 125 grain jacketed hollow point bullet features a mechanically locked together jacket and core. They keep the bullet almost completely intact as it passes through thick clothing and even tougher barriers, so it can penetrate to the ideal depth as determined by FBI protocol. The JHP’s clog-resistant nose cavity reliably produces wide terminal expansion that injures the threat and lessens the risk of over-penetration.

Nickel-plated cases are a nice bonus for a self-defense load. Nickel resists corrosion, helps the round feed more smoothly, and helps you see the round while you’re checking the chamber. Made in Minnesota!
