This round features the 125 grain Controlled Expansion jacketed hollow point, which does much more than broadside its target with over 800 ft lbs of energy at close range. (Note: That figure reflects the round’s performance in conjunction with a 6” barrel. Expect 1,600 fps MV/710 ft lbs ME with a 4” barrel, or 1,425 fps/564 ft lbs ME with a 1-7/8” barrel.) True to its name, the Controlled Expansion JHP carries out extremely consistent terminal expansion as it tunnels through soft tissue. A more injurious wound channel for the threat; reduced risk of overpenetration that could jeopardize innocent bystanders!
