The “Equalizer” is not a single bullet. It is a column of two separate projectiles: a 125 grain jacketed hollow point, and the 70 grain solid beneath it. The JHP performs precisely like a JHP ought to, commencing expansion as soon as it strikes soft tissue in order to gouge out a debilitating wound cavity. The solid is shaped like a disc, with a lead top and copper bottom. It is incapable of deforming as it presses against soft tissue, and therefore inflicts a substantially deeper wound channel than the JHP.
