“CovertX” is a really cool brand name. Bravo, Fiocchi. But a cool brand name isn’t enough to save your hide. Only specialized, American-made 357 Magnum ammo is up to that task!

And Fiocchi CovertX does deliver.

This round’s 125 grain bullet doesn’t feature a bonded jacket. It features a thick jacket, which helps it plunge through barriers and flesh without fragmenting apart. The JHP also features an internally serrated lead-alloy core, with small notches lined up around its jacket. This design lets the JHP widen out even if it picked up a lower muzzle velocity out of a short-barreled revolver.

Nickel-plated brass cases aren’t just helpful for semi-automatic ammo. These revolver/lever gun loads’ plated cases also help them slip in and out of the chamber more easily, and guard against tarnishing too.

CovertX ammo is loaded with flash-suppressed powder. A snub nose may still have noticeable muzzle flash, but it’ll be dimmer compared to a lot of other loads. The powder is also meant to reduce muzzle flip, which can help you vacate a cylinder faster and more accurately.
