The 338 Lapua Magnum is a sharpshooter’s rifle. The MatchKing achieves optimal in-flight rotational stability courtesy of its concentric jacket, uniform core and perfectly centered meplat. The MatchKing’s narrow tip, optimized jacket geometry and gracefully angled boat tail all enable it to stir up very little drag as it reaches farther and farther downrange. Wind can’t do very much to push so heavy and ballistically efficient a bullet off-course, and it retains the momentum requisite to keep a flat trajectory even at lower velocities.
Vairog respects the MatchKing by loading it in their own match brass case, which is annealed to efficiently seal off the chamber during ignition and drawn according to the strictest specifications. The Latvian manufacturer ensures reliable ballistic performance by further arming their reloadable cases with match primers and propellant.
