This 308 Win cartridge from Hornady’s Outfitter line of ammunition features a 165 grain GMX projectile. It’s an accurate bullet thanks to its sleek profile, pressure relieving grooves and cannelure which reduce the drag it creates in flight, and streamlined polymer tip. Upon impact that tip initiates expansion, letting the GMX widen up to 1.5 times its original diameter.The monolithic GMX is made entirely of copper alloy. That means it will foul your rifle’s bore very little when fired, and also that it will deliver no less than 95 percent weight retention during penetration to create a wide and debilitating wound channel. The GMX is fully compatible with California’s ammunition laws as well!
This round offers a nickel plated brass casing. That plating not only promotes corrosion resistance, but enhances its lubricity as well. The casing’s mouth and primer are also sealed to protect its sensitive components from the country’s rugged elements.
