Federal Ammunition 165 Grain Trophy Bonded Tip Ammo Details

A 300 Win Mag rifle can belt any large game on the North American map – but it isn’t magic. You still want ammo that helps you get that perfect shot placement. You want ammo that makes the 300 Win Mag’s already deadly performance even more deadlier. Let’s put it a different way. You want this ammo by Federal Premium!

The Trophy Bonded Tip’s 3,050 fps muzzle velocity is normal for its 165 grain weight. What isn’t normal is its high ballistic efficiency. At 0.450 G1 BC, the bullet is capable of conserving roughly 68% of its starting velocity at 500 yards. Gravity takes its toll on every bullet, but the Trophy Bonded Tip’s streamlined polymer meplat, boat tail and evenly dispersed weight allow it to cover ground quicker, resist crosswinds more effectively, and ultimately hit the target harder.

The Trophy Bonded Tip is designed to hold itself together. Its copper jacket is thicker than usual, and stays mostly attached to the lead core it’s so strongly bonded to. The bullet jacket is also externally skived: shallow notches that help guide the direction of terminal expansion outward in all directions.

Little touches count for a lot out in the field. Federal Premium’s Gold Medal primers are reliable and spark up to consistent effect. Nickel-plated brass cases glide in and out of a chamber with less friction, and specially formulated propellant conserves accuracy by curtailing copper fouling. The pride of Minnesota, in 300 Win Mag form!
