20rds – 300 AAC Blackout Underwood 115gr. Controlled Chaos Ammo

20rds – 300 AAC Blackout Underwood 115gr. Controlled Chaos Ammo Details

Whether you would take your 300 AAC Blackout rifle to hunt coyote or whitetail – or use it to defend your castle – few cartridges are equipped to stop your target right where it stands like this one by Underwood of Illinois.

This 300 Blackout round features the 115 grain Controlled Chaos projectile by Lehigh Defense. It is a monolithic bullet – solid copper, machined from pure bar stock, so it is at once clean shooting and compliant with laws which ban lead bullets. A CNC machined bullet also possesses perfect symmetry and weight distribution, which alongside so fast a muzzle velocity promotes stellar accuracy.

The Controlled Chaos is designed to penetrate its target to a certain depth, at which point it violently fractures apart. The bullet basically erupts into sharp copper splinters, creating a massive wound cavity surrounded by multiple smaller, deadly wound channels. The Controlled Chaos reliably bursts following impact velocities as low as 1,450 fps, making this round extremely effective for hunting and self-defense at close to medium range.

This round features a Ducta Bright 7a nickel-plated brass case. That shiny layer of nickel makes the shell generate far less friction as it weaves in and out of a semi-auto’s chamber, thus ensuring smoother feeding and extraction. Underwood’s propellant is specially formulated to limit muzzle flash, which will help to preserve your night vision while you’re hunting or defending yourself in the dark.
