We say “MAD RESPECT” to all the 300 AAC Blackout shooters out there who never bother with subsonic ammo. We’d never disparage anyone’s ammo preferences. That’s not a good attitude for our company like ours to espouse.

But you know what we say to all the 300 Blackout boys who do love subsonic ammo? We say “MAD RESPECT,” and then recommend Barnes Suppressed Series ammunition to them.

You couldn’t mistake this round for a supersonic load. No 300 BLK cartridge breaks the sound barrier when its bullet weighs 220 grains, and this one’s muzzle velocity falls a fair sight of supersonic. It’s quiet, and its propellant’s minimal gas blowback doesn’t make the experience any less sweet.

You could mistake this round for a hunting load at first glance, though. Be sure that’s not a Sierra GameKing hollow point boat tail. It’s a MatchKing HPBT, which isn’t built for especially deep penetration or any real significant terminal expansion, but which most certainly does boast the balance and aerodynamic efficiency it needs to exhibit madly respectable accuracy. The .30 cal 220gr SMK has 0.313 G7 BC, which stands for a whopping 93% velocity conservation at 200 yards!
