It is the Hornady InterLock, which features a progressively tapered copper jacket with strategically placed inner grooves that secure deadly expansion at longer ranges. The InterLock makes long-distance shots easier thanks to its low-drag secant ogive profile, which also offers the ideal bearing surface for the rifling to purchase against. And if you’re worried about the kind of fragmentation that could lead to a shallow wound column, don’t be. Between its InterLock ring and mid-body cannelure, this round’s SP has everything it needs to enter deeply into its target.
