This is 30-30 Winchester 150gr. Power Max Bonded PHP Ammo. Power Max is the newest ammo Winchester has to offer and it is specially designed for the whitetail deer hunter. Power Max begins by welding the lead to a copper alloy jacket so the two act together during expansion for improved penetration and retained weight. Power Max uses a contoured jacket taper that is engineered to work with this bonding process. The aerodynamic design of the PHP - Protected Hollow Point - bullet design promotes long range accuracy and initiates maximum expansion. The bonding process keeps the lead adhered to the jacket after the expansion. The result of the engineering features working together is to provide massive expansion allowing for dramatic knockdown. This stuff recoils more than any of my 170gr. stuff, and only slightly less than the leverevolution rounds which recoils the most out of my 16" barrel, but it's also the most accurate round I've found to date. I haven't hunted with it yet, but I've heard good things. I know I can hit with it! Might have to buy this in bulk.
