Wolf Ammunition 55 Grain Hollow Point Ammo Details
These steel-cased rounds are great option for high volume training and varmint hunting with your AR-15 or AK pattern rifle chambered in .223 Remington. Military Classic ammunition from Wolf Performance Ammunition (WPA) is intended to provide clean, reliable function at a low cost. As such, these rounds utilize non-reloadable casings fitted with clean-burning Berdan primers that won't leave corrosive salts of compounds behind in chambers and barrels. Each cartridge houses a 55-grain hollow-point bullet that closely mirrors the performance of the common practice loads in the caliber.
That means a shooter can switch to this ammo for light field work without worrying about a huge shift in aim and impact points. The hollow-point projectile is intended for rapid fragmentation upon impact which is appropriate for dropping medium game like coyotes and groundhogs but is also chosen as a self-defense load at times.
