20rds - 223 Wolf Polyformance 55gr. Copper FMJ Ammo

Wolf Ammunition 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

Wolf's .223 Remington ammo is produced in Eastern European countries like Russia and then imported to the United States. The company's use of steel-cased ammunition helps recreational shooters and serious trainers get the most bang for their buck. The Wolf brand is widely recognized as a dependable, inexpensive import. As part of the Polyformance line, the steel casings feature a light coat of polymer which fights off moisture and rust during storage or rough field conditions. Other components include non-corrosive Berdan primers.

Each cartridge fires a 55-grain full metal jacket bullet. Unlike their common bi-metal loads, Wolf's copper-jacketed ammo will leave behind fewer shavings and is less likely to produce sparks against bullet traps. At 55 grains, this .223 load matches the ballistics of numerous practice options and offers shooters light recoil and a relatively flat trajectory.

As of June 6, 2017, Wolf Ammo has issued an advisement against using their ammunition in any Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifles. See the Wolf Ammo website for more information.
