These .223 Remington rounds are one of Sinterfire's "Greenline" products which feature lead-free projectiles and primers which benefit the shooter's health and the firearm's longevity. The 45 grain projectile is made up of compressed copper powder which is strong enough for loading and shooting but breaks apart on contact with a hard surface. This not only reduces ricochets when shooting steel targets, but when shooting into pits with rocky surfaces which can throw FMJ shrapnel all the way back from 25 yards.

While 45 grains is very light for the .223 Remington caliber, Sinterfire has loaded these cartridges to match M855 (62 grain) 5.56mm ballistics as closely as possible.
