Federal Ammunition 55 Grain Polymer Tipped Ammo Details

This 223 Rem cartridge by Federal features its manufacturer’s 55 grain Trophy Copper projectile. It’s a monolithic bullet, and therefore one that is capable of retaining virtually all of its weight until it comes to a halt. For that reason alone copper is worth hunting with even if your state’s laws don’t require you to.

The Trophy Copper’s polymer tip sits over a nose cavity, and commences catastrophic expansion beginning at the moment of impact. Its tip and tapered base both contribute to the long, sleek Trophy Copper’s high ballistic coefficient, so your shots will fly straighter and inflict greater energy upon impact. The Trophy Copper’s grooved shank will also keep your rifle itself more accurate by lessening the impact of residue in its bore.

These 20 rounds each come with impressively uniform new brass casings, Boxer primers, and clean burning propellant. Whichever firearm you’d chamber a Trophy Copper round in is certain to give you some of its finest performance.
