20rds – 223 Rem Barnes 69gr. JHP BT Ammo
Barnes Bullets 69 Grain Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) Ammo Details
Every successful varmint or predator hunting adventure begins with selecting the right kind of ammo. It has to be pinpoint accurate until it reaches the target – at which point it must unleash commanding terminal ballistics. You already know this, and so does Barnes of Utah. That’s the only way they could have loaded this fine 223 Rem hunting ammo! Why is this round’s bullet considerably heavier at 69 grains? Because that gives the bullet greater inertia, which helps it to resist the effects of errant crosswinds. The bullet’s boat tail further protects it against wind deflection, and also ensures the bullet follows a flatter trajectory that delivers ample kinetic energy on impact. The lead-core jacketed hollow point commences expansion as soon as it sinks into its target, widening out all the while to gouge a massive wound channel into the varmint. A varmint won’t even have time to know what hit it.
This ammunition is loaded with Barnes’ very best brass cases, non-corrosive Boxer primers and clean-burning powder. We have not yet determined this round’s muzzle velocity, although Barnes reports that its G1 BC is 0.339.
