When you’re stuck between a big bear and a hard place, you don’t want to shoot the brute with a regular jacketed hollow point. The bear’s dense musculature will prevent the bullet from accessing its vital organs, at which point its teeth and claws will start turning you into taco meat.

If you want to prepare to square off against Smoky or Porky or some other nefarious beast, choose a hard cast bullet instead. This 10mm round by Underwood is loaded with a 220 grain projectile that is too rigid to expand or otherwise deform. Instead it punches a straight, clean hole into the quarry that can kill it dead in a split sec.

The hard cast bullet’s Black Cherry coating is made of high-tech polymer. It protects against gas cutting, abrasion and lead fouling, so you can keep your pistol safe and accurate while you’re off tramping around in the hinterlands.

Underwood’s low-flash powder is a big bonus if you ever have to fire in the dark, as it will keep bright light from ruining your eyesight’s acclimation to your surroundings. Nickel-plated brass cases are reloadable, but offer greater protection against tarnishing and failures to feed/eject. Made in America!
