This ammunition’s propellant is formulated to fully combust during ignition in a 10.5” or longer barrel. The propellant is no longer burning by the time the bullet clears the muzzle, which nearly or completely eliminates blinding muzzle flash. It also dramatically cuts down on fouling of the action. And if you have a suppressor, this ammo is additionally going to create a 6 to 7 dB sound signature reduction!

This round’s heavyweight 75 grain InterLock projectile delivers satisfactory performance according to the FBI’s own test protocol for defensive shooting. The InterLock is an extra tough soft point, which defeats barriers and bores to a consistent depth within a soft medium thanks to the cannelure and InterLock ring which anchor its one-piece lead core and copper jacket together. That same jacket is contoured so it becomes thinner the closer it gets to the tip, and additionally features an array of inner grooves that promote wider expansion following relatively low impact velocities.

Hornady loads these SBR cartridges with high-quality brass cases and sensitive Boxer primers and carefully inspects each round before packaging it. This Nebraska-made ammo comes ten boxes to a case.
