We say you prove otherwise by ordering a big chonkin’ 200-round box of Federal Premium’s American Eagle label ammunition, which is crafted with care in the perpetually snowy paradise of Minnesota.

These cartridges are right at home at any target range (though they would also prove to be an invaluably furious ally during a life-or-death scramble). The full metal jacket is a lead core and copper exterior that cannot (A) attract a magnet, or (B) expand after impact. Not intended for hunting, although no raccoon is any match for a 55 grain FMJ (unless it is some kind of vitamin-fed super raccoon).

A 5.56x45 brass case is supposed to be annealed (i.e. heat-treated for added strength and suppleness) at the factory. Manufacturers typically polish their brass after annealing it. Federal does not polish this ammo’s shells, although they are no less new or reloadable because of this omission.
