Hornady produces its own quality, reloadable brass cases for its Custom loads. Carefully selected to meet their own high standards, Hornady brass offers reliable feeding, corrosion resistance, and the ability to function under maximum chamber pressures. Additionally, powders are specially formulated to ensure optimal pressure, velocity, and consistency. Non-corrosive boxer primers are selected to rapidly and reliably ignite the powder charge.
Each factory fresh .45 ACP (Auto) cartridge features one of Hornady’s famous XTP (Extreme Terminal Performance) hollow point bullets. These proprietary projectiles are designed to expand reliably at a wide range of velocities. Also providing exceptional accuracy, deep penetration, and excellent weight retention, XTP bullets produce a devastating wound channel and effective threat-stopping performance.
This ammunition comes packed in 20-round boxes. Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 970 feet per second, each round generates 386 foot pounds of muzzle energy.
