I watched some TV show once. In it, a guy said that space is “the final frontier.” I think it might have been The Dukes of Hazzard. I don’t remember. It was a long time ago.

There’s only one thing I know about “Frontier” for sure: it’s darn fine ammunition. It’s made in Nebraska, by Hornady no less, and loaded with the kind of straightforward bullets that won’t needlessly deplete your coffers.

This round’s full metal jacket is indeed a simple thing. Lead core. Copper-alloy jacket. A true target bullet, through and through. But because it qualifies as a “big ‘un” at 208 grains, and is backed by weaker powder, that FMJ is due to make its appearance at a muzzle velocity of 1,025 fps (24” test barrel). That’s around 100 fps slower than the speed of sound, which is why you can rest assured this here Frontier ammo is just the ticket for any suppressed firearm.

That FMJ’s not the flattest-flying thing on the planet, mind you. Hornady reckons -105.8” drop at 300 yards (100-yard zero). Trajectory to 100 yards peaks at around 9.2” above the bore line. Aim accordingly.
