Hornady Ammunition 62 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

It’s always a good bet to put all your chips on BLACK! Hornady’s American-made 223 Rem ammunition is loaded to deliver sterling performance out of any rifle – so long as it is chambered for 223! (Or 5.56x45, of course.)

This cartridge is loaded with a 62 grain full metal jacket projectile. It’s not an M855, SS109, F1, or any other fancy kind of steel-tipped penetrator bullet. Just a simple lead core with a copper jacket that won’t attract a magnet. This bullet does give you a very good feel for how the military’s M855 ammunition handles, however, and it’s welcome at all ranges because it is nonmagnetic. Those seven extra grains of mass give this round’s 62 grain FMJ superior long-distance velocities, as well as heightened resistance to wind drift and greater energy on impact.

This ammo’s cases have never before seen the light of day. Hornady’s brass is also high-quality, so you’ll want to reload these non-corrosive, Boxer-primed rounds if you’re able.
