The V-MAX is intensely accurate, with a sharp polymer tip, uniformly distributed swaged lead core, and the concentric jacket for which Hornady is so well-known. It’s exactly what you need for taking easily spooked game from afar!The V-MAX’s polymer tip is seated on the rim of its precisely drawn jacket, and extends downward into a cavity formed in the core -- but without making contact with its base. Upon impact the tip is able to build up tremendous energy before totally upsetting the core and jacket alike, causing simply explosive fragmentation that no living thing would be pleased to have occurring within its body. And if you chamber one of these exceptionally potent rounds in your pistol, you’ll be prepared for human-sized threats as well!
